ABOUT CAMILO LARA:

Camilo Lara writes music for films and television. He has scored work for Netflix, Marvel, Pixar, HBO, Apple, and Prime Video. His credits include Pixar’s Coco, Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Narcos: Mexico, A Million Miles Away, and Y Tu Mamá También. He also writes music for video games, including FIFA and Grand Theft Auto V, where he hosts a radio station.He earned an Emmy for his work on Apple TV’s Home. He was nominated for a Grammy for producing the score and soundtrack for Alfonso Cuarón's Y Tu Mamá También.

As a musician, he records and tours under the name Mexican Institute of Sound. His latest album, Algo Ritmo, was released in 2024. He recently headlined Vive Latino festival to a crowd of more than 80,000 people.

As a producer, Lara has worked with Damon Albarn, David Byrne, Africa Express, Beck, Trent Reznor, Omar Apollo, Run The Jewels, Norah Jones, Manu Chao, Band of Horses, Natalia Lafourcade, Santa Fe Klan, Lila Downs, and Los Ángeles Azules, among many others. He produced the best-selling album in Mexico of the last 25 years.
